Department of Physics is started in 2010.The Department offers Core Programme B.Sc Physics and Complementary Course to B. Sc. Computer Science and B. Sc .Mathematics.Over the years the department was supporting the college with excellent academic and non-academic performance.

To provide quality education to the students of the society having scientific temper and become a centre of excellence in Physics.

Mission

The Physics curriculum enhances a systematic way of teaching and learning
Give opportunities to the students to visit National laboratories and give support to them to do higher studies in such National Institutions
Train the students using innovative instructional methods.
Develop an integrity and cooperation among the students by conducting department activities
Mentors frequently interact with the students which provide improvement in their overall performance

OBJECTIVES

Help the students to become professionally competent in the field of Physics and interdisciplinary areas.
Give opportunities to the students to attend Seminars, Talent tests , Interviews etc.
Increase research aptitude.
Improve the skills of students
Be an important part of the college by supporting all the developmental activities by providing quality teaching and effective training to the students to achieve their goals.

There are plenty of books & two international Journals in the library to improve the knowledge of students in physics.
For doing computational study in physics, separate computers are available in the physics lab.
