The department of English started its functioning from 2010 .With a vision of creating good citizens with ample communicative skills in English ,the department offers core courses and common courses to all departments of the college –BA / BSc / BCom / BBA .The department conducts various literary fests to assess and evaluate the advancement of the students and to motivate them. The students put their heads and hearts together to participate actively in all the curricular, extra curricular and extension activities.

DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH HAS THE FACILITY OF A GENRAL LIBRARY WHICH IS WELL FURNISHED, AND
FULL-FLEDGED. IT CONSISTS AROUND 935 BOOKS ON VARIOUS CATEGROIZATION SUCH AS NOVELS,
FICTION AND NON-FICTIONS, AS WELLAS DICTIONARIES TO GUIDE THE STUDENTS, TWO JOURNALS IN
ENGLISH, INTERNATIONAL JOURNALS OF ENGLISH AND INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF LINGUISTICS AND
LITERATURE IS SUBSCRIBED MONTHLY. A LIST OF 300 BOOKS IS SUBMITTED TO BE PURCHASED.
A NOTICEBOARD IS ALSO KEPT OUTSIDE THE DEPARTMENT WHERE STUDENTS CAN POST THEIR
ARTICLES AND WHICH ENHANCES THEIR CALIBRE.
ICT CLASSROOMS ARE ENABLED TO SHOW ENGLISH SYLLABUS ORIENTED FILMS.
