WELCOME TO MOUNT SEENA COLLEGE OF ARTS & SCIENCE

Department of commerce and management studies started in 2010 with a degree programme B.com with computer application. In 2012 BBA programme started. The department was elevated to the status of PG Department of commerce and management studies in 2013, with the introduction of M. Com (financial management). In 2015 B. Com (financial management) was introduced. In 2020 the department has applied for B. Com Taxation and is awaiting university approval. Currently the department has 366 students and 18 teaching staff.

Vision

With the Vision of Imparting Education to the Students, the magnanimous Management of our College annexed an exclusive Section in Commerce (UG AND PG) under the Self-Financing Stream in the Academic Year 2022-2023, in addition to the Aided section. Develop students into the centre of excellence in Commerce and Management field and help them for economic self sufficiency.

Mission

Give Commerce and Management Education to make the students capable of applying the learned principles in real life practical situation and make them to become entrepreneurs and business leaders.

The Department of Commerce is one of the Prestigious Departments of the College and B.Com is one of the most Demanded Courses of the contemporary academic world. Ever since its inception, the Department has recorded consistent improvement in its Academic Performance

PG Department of Commerce and Management studies conducted National Webinar on “How can marketing foster business growth in 2020” on 28-10-2020 by Dr. Devi Premnath(Associate Professor, Janson’s School of Business, Coimbatore).
On 31-10-2020, department organized a Webinar on “Stress Management & Personality Development” by Mrs. Girija.C(Assistant Professor, SN College, Shoranur).
On 30-7-2021, a one day webinar on “A Complete knowhow about Research Methodology” was organized and the resource person was Dr. Devi Premnath(Associate Professor, Janson’s School of Business, Coimbatore).
Add on course on Integrated Computer Accounting was introduced in 2019 and the first batch of students is in course completion stage.
