About Us

The Department of Computer Science was established in the year 2010 with the objective of imparting quality education in the field of Computer Science. In the beginning year, Computer Science being offered as a complementary subject of the B.Sc Physics course and in the year 2013 the department of computer science became a fully fledged entity offering B. Sc degree in computer science with sanctioned student strength of 24.

The department has modern facilities for teaching and learning. Our computer lab is a cluster of networked computers that are available to the students for enhancing their subject knowledge. . A well equipped library consisting of more than 1000 books is continuously enlarged by adding more books and journals in the relevant topics.

In the year 2020, an Add on Course in DATA SCIENCE in association with Softroniics has been introduced to train and produce experts in the areas of expertise in Data Science.

The guidance and cooperation of the experienced and expert faculty members of the department is one of the attracting features of the department, which enlivens the students to stretch their wings, so that they can fly higher than their dreams and serve the country.

The department takes initiatives for overall development of students and give thempractical orientation to inculcate employability skills which will help them to face this competitive world. The department activities conducted are focused on impartingtechnical knowledge along its application in the practical world. Simultaneouslypersonality development of students is also given priority.
